KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer simply rocked out of Lake Sherwood, promoting his custom-built villa overlooking the water for $2.7 million.
It’s a pleasant revenue for the rocker, who paid about $1.8 million for the property in 2008.
The Ventura County getaway spans a 3rd of an acre on the north aspect of the lake, opening with a courtyard entry and rotunda-style lobby. Mediterranean in model, the house is full of barrel ceilings, stone accents and hardwood flooring.
Partitions of home windows line the principle degree, bringing water views into the lounge, eating space and center-island chef’s kitchen with a farmhouse sink. Upstairs, there’s a main suite with a sitting room and a lofted workplace with built-in cabinetry.

Thayer, 59, gained fame within the ’80s in Hollywood’s rock scene as entrance man of the glam metallic band Black ’n Blue. He joined KISS because the lead guitarist in 2002, changing Ace Frehley, and co-wrote 10 songs for the band’s 2012 album “Monster.”
